Possible to use with html5?

Postby maria » April 19th, 2013, 1:35 am

hello,

Recently, I've come across Scirra's Construct 2 and it seems to be quite nice and easy, but, for what I understand, it doesn't export to flash, only to html5. So, I'd like to ask: is bigdb compatible with that?

Thank you very much and sorry for such a noob question. I'm only asking this because I REALLY would like to use bigdb for a quiz game I'm planning, but although I know a bit of AS3, I believe Construct 2 is more intuitive and html5 is more accessible.

No at least not at the time.

Player.IO only works with Flash and .NET and has no HTTP API

Aaaawww... that's a real pity!

I would gladly pay for it, if needed... I really think it would make things easier and cross-plataform.

Oh, well... I guess I'll see what I can do, then.

Thank you very much for replying, dreamora!

Because of PlayerIO.JS, this'll work with Construct 2?

Is this planned and can this be done anytime soon? I have a serious project with a group of friends, and I already started on the serverside and would really hate using Photon. PLAYERIO ROCKS!

I'm really not familiar with Construct 2, but if you can call JavaScript methods from inside your code, then you're good to go.

You can but it's only strings, the link I provided gives instructions on how to make a add-on file and I was wondering if that could be on the roadmap.

No, this is not on our roadmap. But hey, you are free to make an add-on out of our JS library yourself!

Ok, can I upload it so others can use it?
