PLAYER.IO TEAM

Postby [GD]AlaaNasro » August 10th, 2016, 2:25 pm

So i been out of network for a while, missed all the news..
As i talked many developers, they agree that PLAYER.IO going worst and worst,i don't think i'll pay for such useless services,i mean i need lot of things which makes me need to pay 2500$ monthly? i don't think i shall risk, however, the TEAM updates are pushing-up developers step by step to leave this service.Would you think about the prices again? and the services for each plan.Seems unfair.I've been here for 2 years i guess and it was so great till now.
Wow.

Hmm, I'd be interested to why developers think it's getting worse now. I would have partially agreed with this several months back when Yahoo was still running it, definitely. The new team has been very responsive and helpful towards me though, and I can see Christian tries to help on the forum the best he can as well. Everything is running stable for me as well. Coming from the service being free, I can understand having the pay the high price being a bit rough for you, but if your game is monetizing even fairly well and you try to optimize your bandwidth usage, the price seems pretty fair. They've gotta make a living too. Also, what did you mean about the TEAM updates? I'm not sure what this means, I haven't seen any major updates, only some nice small additions to the site, nothing negative.

"The new team has been very responsive and helpful towards me though",the last Team been responsive too,but the developers didn't ask like serious questions,i mean look at topics you'll find basic questions...that you can find in Docs. However,i loved the previous team more then this...it's not my own opinion only, but many developers i know,i contact them on fb,they quit this service since the latest updates.
and yes, this is it...player.io going worst.

Hi AlaaNasro,

We understand that you liked the service more when it was free, but in order for us to keep operating this service, we have to have support from you developers.

We hope that the free plan allows you to develop your game, and get a feel for how much resources your games will use once you launch it. And remember, if you sign up for a paid plan, you can switch between the plans at any time to make sure you're on a plan that's right for you.

I know that you guys need money to keep service but when the transfer was happening,i thought why don't you take 60% of revenues i mean,if i make a game,i'll add a "shop" with money so people can buy,and if my game is successful i might get lot of buys, and 60% seems fair for you and it can be even more...,i know a game used Player.io got over 6 millions player...imagine that.

Why is it so expensive though? The price is unjust.
