Paypal: invalid IPN postback from Paypal

I've been getting a few more of these recently. I receive payment but the player does not receive their coins. When I look at the transaction in the payvault it says "Invalid IPN postback from PayPal: Could not verify request at PayPal, result=". And that's it. Usually the player just contacts me, I check it out, and give them their coins. But it still seems like bad business when it happens.

Is there any way to stop or reduce this, or is it something on paypals end? Any details on what it is?

This was a combination of an issue at PayPal's end and a bug in our handling of that error case, it should all be fixed now.

I'm getting the following very similar error:

Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN). IPNs sent to the following URL(s) are failing:

http://api.playerio.com/payvault/paypal/postback

If you do not recognize this URL, you may be using a service provider that is using IPN on your behalf. Please contact your service provider with the above information. If this problem continues, IPNs may be disabled for your account.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue.
