First call to Objective-C Connect does nothing

Postby frank84 » March 26th, 2014, 4:19 am

We are using the 3.0.1 Objective-C SDK of PlayerIO. It appears that the very first call to PlayerIO authenticateWithGameId does nothing. When we restart the app, all future calls are successful. Neither the successBlock or errorBlock are fired on the first try. Has anyone else experienced this with the iOS Objective-C SDK?

So I only experienced this issue with the asynchronous authenticateWithGameId method with successBlock and errorBlock. The synchronous version that returns a PIOClient always works on the first call. This is definitely a bug in the SDK that needs to be addressed.

We'll release a fix for this next week.

Try the latest SDK available now, it should contain a fix for the issue, and please let us know if you have any further issues.

I believe I am still getting the issue with the 3.0.2 SDK and now the synchronous method is disabled, so I am going to stay at 3.0.1 for now.

This issue is still happening in the 3.0.3.
