Building for Windows Store Apps and Windows Phone 8

Postby pressplayer » September 20th, 2013, 11:18 am

Hi,

I have been trying to use PlayerIO with Unity when Building to Windows Store Apps and Windows Phone 8, but I get exceptions when I try to use the PlayerIO classes. IS this something that you are working on fixing?

For Windows Store Apps it throws an execption as the signature for some of the WWW methods in Unity have changed for Windows Store and Phone. This is due to the Hashtable class not being supported.

On Windows Phone there are a some extra unsupported classes/methods.

You are building with Unity correct? Or simply using the .net API directly?

Yes. I am building with Unity. When Building for Windows Store Apps or Windows Phone a slightly different version of UnityEngine.dll is bundled with the player. This causes issues when the methods from the PlayerIO dll calls them.

For Windows Store Apps it tosses an execption as the mark for a percentage of the WWW techniques in Unity have changed for Windows Store and Phone. This is because of the Hashtable class not being bolstered.

On Windows Phone there are a some additional unsupported classes/techniques.

You are working with Unity right? On the other hand just utilizing the .net API straightforwardly?
