Allow user to change email

Postby robscherer123 » September 16th, 2013, 6:12 pm

Question. I have players who have registered their quick connect account but did not enter their email when they first signed up. They then later want to enter an email so that they can have it as backup to recover their password. Is there anyway to allow users to change the email in the quick connect database? Right now, only admins have access to do that as far as I can see. I don't see anything regarding this in the documentation but maybe I just missed it.

Thanks.

No we do not currently support users chaining email, in fact, allowing admins to do so is a fairly new feature.

Long story short, QuickConnect was a quick addition to Player.IO and we never actually expected large developer adaptation, assuming developers would use the connect infrastructure to auth their own users.

On that note we are looking at refreshing QuickConnect as one of the bigger Yahoo Player.IO projects. Hopefully we should be able to provide something a lot better soon.

Ah ok, thanks for the response. I will just have to change them manually I guess for now.

Has this now been implemented in PlayerIO 3.0?
