Delete individual users?

Postby krangGAMES » January 17th, 2012, 9:45 am

Is it possible to delete individual users through QuickConnect (ideally simpleusers)? Would simply deleting their PlayerObject work?

If not, this would be an AWESOME feature to have implemented :)

We're sorry, but currently that's not possible. We agree that it's an awesome feature and it's on our todo-list. :-)

Is there any eta on this feature?

Is there a road map of the features you plan on implementing?

You can delete and manage individual QuickConnect users in the QuickConnect section, just click on the edit icon to the right in the list of users, or after doing a search for a user.

I forgot to say thank you, so thank you!

My other question is if there is there a possible way to delete a user's account from the hosted room?

IE if a user connects to a room that they shouldn't, could I delete their account which would free their username? It's a way to deal with hackers. :)

Deleting a QuickConnect user allows someone to register the same username again (if it's a Simple user), but if it's a partner like Facebook, the QuickConnect user will just be recreated when the user re-authenticates. So it's probably a better idea to keep the user account around, and mark it as a banned user.

It's up to your serverside code to deal with users, you could for example check if a user is banned and then Disconnect them from the room.

Oh, awesome I'll do that.

I'll remove everything except a banned property in their PlayerObject to conserve space.

Thanks a lot!
