Does BigDB have a max concurrent online users limit also?

Postby eternalsyndrome » August 16th, 2010, 1:31 pm

Pretty much as the subject suggest, does BigDB share the max concurrent online users limit also?

Or is it just the traffic and objects that are metered?

Also, does a user need to login with a specific name. I'm thinking for the moment of using BigDB for things like arena ratings, global total play counts, total loses / wins, likes & dislike counts and things like that.

Thanks much! :D

EDIT: Also, can you create objects dynamically? Sorry if I'm missing this information elsewhere, I did look beforehand, but still...

There's no concept of concurrent users with BigDB, we just measure the traffic and objects.

Awesome, thank you Henrik! One more thing.

I want to use BigDB for things like arena ratings, global total play counts, total loses / wins, likes & dislike counts and things like that. To that affect, does a user need to login manually with a specific name or can I connect automatically in the background at the start in a general manner to achieve thee above? Also, I assume objects can be created dynamically.

Sorry in advance if I'm asking questions to answers that already available, I'm probably just missing stuff.

Thank you.
Thanks in advance!

You can set up access control in BigDB so that only the user that creates an object can change and read it, and for that you need a proper connection.

But in your case, for general score lists and data, you can make those tables readable by anyone and grab it however you want.
