Automatic Object Culling

Postby moly » June 20th, 2010, 5:09 pm

Is there an easy to have a table automatically remove objects from itself? I have a game that saves users progress and I'd like if it automatically deleted guests data after 24 hours, and registered users data after a couple of months inactivity.

I think something like this has been asked before. Only then it was about "ticks", so changes to the game would happen 1 time per hour. And I believe the answer was: no, but you can have something log in and make the changes.

So you could log in yourself and execute the command to check for inactivity. Or you could have the server do it automatically at a certain event, for example, the first time someone logs in on a new day.

Does that mean impossible? Why don't we create their own account for our customers. They can manipulate their own accounts. we become what we behold
