Using BigDB web interface is nice, BUT

Postby robertflesch » September 24th, 2014, 9:18 pm

When using the Browser function in the BigDB.
Its great that I can do all of the things possible, really helps a LOT!

But it would be really really really nice if the columns of our tables could be sorted in some, any, consistent manner.
Alphabetical would be fine, by type would be good, by the queens birthday would be ok, as long as its consistent!

I am sure this is on somebody's wish list.... does anyone make wishes come true?

You can do it with an index. When you create an index you can view the table sorted by the index. You can also do things like specify things in a 'range' to view from the index - eg from index entries starting with c-e or between two dates or greater than a certain value etc.

Indices can contain multiple properties and you can do things like gender-age filters, faction-ranking, or any number of other uses.
