Generic Connection Issues

Postby sebas77 » August 28th, 2013, 10:45 am

Yesterday night (UK time) our users (me included!) had several issues connecting to BigDB. However the weird thing is that the players were able to retrieve some data like game settings, while was not possible to retrieve the game save data. These data are stored in different tables. After a couple of hours the problem fixed itself.

Also I noticed that in these cases, PlayerIO never times out! I am not sure if it would be better to time out. Basically the API never calls the callbacks.

Over the last couple of weeks I've been experiencing the same issues myself. Curious to see if anyone else has had similar issues and if they were resolved. At the moment I've resorted to implementing some hacky fake "Timeouts" but I'm sure there has to be a better way :?

I would very much like some more information on what tabels, when this happened etc.
chris@player.io is the email to send to :)
