Player Object Sync Client vs Server

Postby garysimmons » June 9th, 2011, 12:16 am

Hi Guys,

I am away from my dev machine for a day or two so can't actually test this out for myself but so I can go on planning my code, could you just let me know what the deal is with player objects both on the client and on the server.

For example, if the client alters some data in the player object and then saves that information to the object, is that information automatically reflected in the server side object for that player or do I have to repeatedly reload/refresh the server side objects if a client side change is suspected (and vica versa).

Thanks

No, it is not automatically synced so you have to reload it.
