PHP API

Postby jak322 » November 19th, 2010, 1:33 pm

Just wondering if the PlayerIO db solution has the ability / planned ability to work with PHP or if anyone has found a way to do this. What I'd like to do is have a rank system viewable in browser (outside of flash) which draws data from BigDB without having to record duplicate data (i.e inside BigDB and MySql), does anyone have any ideas how this could work?

Cheers

Currently we do not have a PHP API, we do however have a C# API, so using ASP.NET you can get the features you want.
Alternatively you could make a small flash widget that renders the scores on the website.

I was wondering, do you intend to, at any point in the future, provide a PHP API for Player.io? Or any other APIs in addition to Unity/Flash/.NET?

A PHP API is not in the pipeline; and possibly won't ever be. We might add a JSON/REST API as a sort of catch-all api for all other platforms and languages at a later date though.
