PlayerIO support for Godot

The Godot Engine has recently been becoming more and more popular due to the fact that it is completely open source and therefore holds no royalties associated to it, and allows for engine level control from the developers.

Would it be possible to incorporate a plugin for Godot to enable PlayerIO client support in it?

I'm personally considering developing games using Godot, but the fact PlayerIO does not support it is a downside.

Any ideas if this could be possible?
