Players don't actually have names per default in the Player.IO API. Thus everyone is just know for their ID.

Feature requests are welcome btw!

I would say maybe have some sort of "slope" block? So like, you can create hills and everything?

Really fun!

Nice little program.

I have been posting about what I want to do in my program, and probably some ideas can relate directly to this program.

This is pretty cool. I love the mini-map. It really gives an idea of the scale of this thing =)

I'm hopelessly addicted now Chris. I've spent hours making a nice map, and messing up other people (and having them mess me up)

Whatever you do, DO NOT ADD NAMES OR CHAT. Anonymity is part of what makes this game perfect.

Didn't take long to attract trolls intent on annoying people and stopping you having fun.

Clearly anonymity isn't the way to go.

I would not be surprised if this became the next "big" game.

Nope, I don't even claim to have made them. What i do claim, is that I actually saw one or two of them being made.

This is one of the reasons I want persistence - this stuff should be stored, photo'd and distributed - not wiped!

Chris, maybe you should make an art program out of this? Meaning, local only, without multiplayer?

That'd ruin the fun. Players look for stuff which the developers have added without directly meaning to, once you make it a graphical game you're not only pitting yourself against the other ones but you take away the feeling that the players are doing/discovering something for themselves. It just needs the abilities for each user to have their own custom rooms, then you can use it as a painter/level creator and invite people around. :3

I see, so maybe a private room option? Would be very fun!

Although I really enjoy this game, there are always people who ruin it eventually. I've seen some people build roller coaster rides for a few hours, just to have someone come in and randomly throw down arrows everywhere.

I've also seen people make cool drawings, but eventually someone comes along and ruins it. I even just saw someone put swasticas all over someone's drawing as well as the word nazi.

Although I've teased some people myself with arrows :P

I think the creator of a room should have an option to switch off all editing at the click of a button. So if someone comes in and starts ruining it, he can switch it off, fix the changes and continue to edit by himself.

I think that private rooms, like, where we can choose our own roomid, would be the best idea. That way we can share with people we trust, and have fun with them, and leave the others out to dry.

As I said before, private rooms are incoming but rely on features not yet in the public API.
Basically I want them to not only be private but also persistent so you can come back to your creations later.
