Administration Panel

Postby Cyclone103 » January 20th, 2010, 6:52 pm

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to let you all know that I am working on an administration panel for all Player.IO games.

Right now you can just see all open rooms and view all messages being received.

It stores connection information locally on your own computer.

Please let me know if you would like to test it or have a suggestion (Chris, I'm adding error handling because of the errors you got, it should work just fine soon.)

So, it's like a test-client? I don't fully understand.

I tried to upload to the forums, but it says "The extension swf is not allowed."

Should I rename it to .txt or what? It basically (for now) allows you to view messages like you might be able to locally (with the trace statement) and view all open rooms. I'm working out some more ideas still...

It lets you connect to any game and any server type.

We've enbled the [flash] thing, so you can use that to embed flash in your posts.

I'll see if i can get somebody to enable .swf uploading

Okay, I'll upload to my site instead and just embed.

What does the Messages button do? Except throwing this exception?

You need to click on an open room once you have entered both sets of information, otherwise it WILL throw that error.

If you configure your client to not display the username you use in that, it will allow you to view all messages sent through the room.

Hide the button until a room is clicked then.

I'll add that later. I'll probably just have it disable the button until a room is selected.
