Notifications for Android

Postby GameTapas » July 29th, 2014, 9:19 pm

I'm struggling with GCM these days. I've already:

- Created the Google apis project for the game, and obtained the project ID.
- Configured the Notification Provider in YGN panel with the server key obtained in the API Access section.
- Used this ANE to call GoogleCloudMessaging.register like the docs state.
- Registered the device with the registration ID returned, by calling Notifications.registerEndpoints

But my device doesn't receive any notifications, even though the endpoints seem to be successfully registered in the YGN panel:

It even prompts "successful" when I send a Test Notification:

Does anyone know what can be wrong here?

Same problem for me on Android.

I have a "Push Notification Failure: InvalidRegistration" in the error log every time I try to send a test notification.

Could that be possible to have a little more information on how to set up notifications on Android ?

I have the same problem, as you do.
I have used google api https://android.googleapis.com/gcm/send to verify my registration ids are correct. So, did I miss any step for gcm notification works?

Maybe you missed setting up an activity to receive the push notifications.

Hi guys, has anyone of you succeeded in implementing the push notifications on Android? Would be helpful to get some confirmation if this is possible at all. Just in case, our problem is described here - https://playerio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=36207

Hello there! I know, this stuff is old, but I hope this helps to anyone who gets this issue.
At the Google Cloud Platform there are four different API keys, you need that one, that named " Server key (auto created by Google Service)".
I just pasted it to a Server API Key field at Notifications tab, and this solved my problem.
